TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Invictus Cruises®, a brand registered by the company Colorstar Lda, is dedicated to the maritime tourism activity, providing its customers with differentiated experiences and tailor-made designs. In this way, they will be able to use the contracted vessel and services, applying for the due effects the following Terms and Conditions.
Services provided
Invictus Cruises, based in Douro Marina – Vila Nova de Gaia, it offers boat rentals with crew, for tours and cruises on the Douro River. Their duration is variable and defined in accordance with what has been previously established with the client. Boats are only rented on an exclusive basis, except in specific situations that will be communicated and agreed with the customer.
In addition to boat trips, other services may also be provided, with the aim of complementing the tourist offer.
Vessel Capacity and Values
The vessel has the maximum capacity for 10 passengers and 2 crew members. This capacity applies to adults and children, regardless of their age.
As Invictus Cruises specializes in private cruises, tour prices are always presented based on the total value of the boat and not per passenger. Optional services, such as on-board catering, drinks, transfers, among others, will generally be charged per person. Children up to 10 years old may be covered by special conditions in these services, and the customer should contact the company for more information.
Unless otherwise indicated, the values presented to the customer include VAT, fuel, crew, lock passage (if applicable) and insurance.
Bookings
All tours are subject to prior booking and confirmation of availability. You can pre-book through the website www.invictus-cruises.com, by email info@invictus-cruises.com or by telephone. Reservations will only be considered confirmed after receipt of proof of payment of 50% of the total value of the chosen program, and the remaining 50% must be paid within 48 hours before departure. Payment can be made by credit card, bank transfer or cash.
If the reservation takes place after 48 hours prior to departure time, the amount to be paid will be the total price of the program.
Changes to Reservation
Changes to the reservation, such as the place of departure, the total number of passengers, the time and date of departure or duration of the program, may be possible, but are subject to Invictus Cruises availability and payment of a fee:
- Changes requested up to 48 hours before boarding: 20% of the total program price
- Changes requested after 48 hours prior to boarding: 35% of the total program price
No date changes are allowed after 48 hours prior to boarding.
Changes to the initial booking may be subject to a review of the values initially agreed with the client, namely when the change has to do with choosing a more expensive program or adding more participants.
Reservation Cancellation
After booking confirmation, the following cancellation conditions apply:
- Up to 48 hours before boarding: 50% of the total value of the chosen program
- After 48 hours before boarding: 100% of the total value of the chosen program
If the customer wishes, he can request a reschedule of the program for a different date. In this case, Changes to the Reservation terms will apply.
To the cancellation expenses may also be added other charges that Invictus Cruises has had or will have to bear for this reason, namely regarding transportation, accommodation, food and/or any other services contracted to external companies, when directly related to the program concerned and are non-refundable.
The company reserves the right to cancel, postpone or change any program, for any reason, including the prohibition of navigation by the waterway regulatory authority, adverse weather conditions, mechanical problems, strike or work stoppage, medical emergency and local holidays, among other reasons, without penalty for Invictus Cruises.
Limitations and restrictions
Invictus Cruises reserves the right to deny the access to the vessel to anyone who is notoriously intoxicated, under the effect of a narcotic agent or who has an apparent psychic anomaly. Access to alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages may also be restricted. This same restriction may apply to people under 18 years of age.
Upon boarding, passengers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or, in their absence, by a responsible adult.
Pets are not allowed, with the exception of accompanying guide dogs.
Smoking is not allowed inside the vessel, including electronic devices. Smoking may be allowed on the deck, in a specific space designated by the crew. However, due to safety reasons, it has to be cleared by the skipper.
Food and beverages brought by the customer are not allowed on board without prior authorization. This option may be accepted, but subject to the payment of a cleaning fee to be agreed with Invictus Cruises, which will be from 50 to 100 euros.
It is strictly forbidden to practice nudism or topless, as well as the practice of sport fishing.
The use of cabin beds is not authorized unless agreed in advance during the booking. If authorized, it may be subject to payment of a fee.
Bathing and diving may be possible. However, and for this to occur safely, the vessel must be immobilized and this must be expressly authorized by the skipper. Invictus Cruises is not responsible for any damage or accident occurred outside the vessel.
People with reduced mobility are most welcome on board. However, some areas of the vessel may be restricted to wheelchair access. For more information, please contact Invictus Cruises.
